This product contains ingredients that are supposed to help increase natural levels of growth hormone. There have been studies done on the effects of arginine on natural levels of growth hormone and some have suggested that there is a positive effect. Each capluse contains approximately 625 milligrgrams of arginine and 375 milligrams of ornithine. A serving size is two capsules. The price of this product is $15.00 USD and each capsule will cost you $.15. The suggested serving is two capsules taken two times daily. This will provide you with a 25 day supply.
Will this serving size be enough to increase growth hormone levels? Probably not. Based on the research I've done on the subject of arginine and growth hormone, a person will need about 1/8 - 1/10 gram per pound of body weight for any real noticeable effect. If you weight 200 pounds, you will need about 20 to 25 grams of arginine daily. This is not very cost effective.
Arginine is also used to help increase the amount of nitric oxide in the body. One of the functions that nitric oxide does is to help with vasodilation in the body. That is, the blood vessels relax to help improve the amount of blood flowing through. People with heart conditions and other poor circulation problems will often be advised to start taking arginine.
As you can imagine, improved blood flow to the muscle means more nutrients, which is essential to muscle growth. However, the studies I've looked at are not conclusive and my personal results with arginine supplements don't have me conviced that this product improves muscle growth.
