Truth About Six Pack Abs ReviewA Review Of Mike Gearys Top Selling Fat Loss E-Book
Lets face it, a fit body is never complete without a sculpted six pack of abs. You can have big biceps and a huge chest but if you dont have the six pack of abs to go along with your development, something is missing. A sculpted six pack of abs speaks volumes to everyone else around you without you having to say one word. A fit mid section screams, I am in top shape!.
I know that the topic of building six pack abs is huge right now. I mean, the movies are full of actors with well developed abs and I cant go past a magazine rack without seeing some sort of article on developing a six pack of abs. Developing a six pack of abs is big right now for one reason, theyre sexy. Let me give you an example. I just scanned through 3 of the more popular fitness magazines cover page and all had the following points as theyre main headlines: Hard Abs Made Easy; Well, I guess its no wonder. Six pack abs are in big demand right now. However, in terms of attaining a six pack of abs in relation to building a bigger chest, sculpting your abs takes a little more work, education, and discipline. Im not saying building a bigger chest isn't hard work, it is, but from my experience, figuring out how to sculpt a nice 6 pack of abs takes a lot of desire, commitment, and discipline. I think, the biggest obstacle to obtaining a six pack of abs is having the necessary knowledge with regards to quality nutrition that limits most people in their quest for a sculpted mid section. When it comes to getting a hard, sculpted six pack of abs, nutrition will account for about 75% of your success (or failure). This is probably why you dont see a whole lot of people out there with a nice set of rock hard abs. Sure, youll see lots of big biceps and huge chests, but a well defined mid section is quite rare. We all want them, but only a few will have them. I can probably go on for days why most people find it hard to get a six pack of abs but this is not what this article is about. Anyways, lets get back to my Truth About Six Pack Abs Review. The other day, I was surfing the net looking for some information about ab exercises and I came across a review for Mike Gearys e-book called The Truth About Six Pack Abs. The review was very positive and it showed a before and after picture of the results from using Mr. Gearys advice and program. The results looked real enough. This caught my attention so I clicked through to the sales page to check out Mr. Gearys website. The first thing I noticed was that he started his sales page off with the following. to Lose Your Belly Fat & Get Six Pack Abs Alright, Ill bite, so I read the 5 points to losing belly fat and getting a six pack of abs. The 5 points were as follows: 1. Did You Know That There are Hidden Foods That are Promoted as "Health Foods" but Actually Stimulate Your Body to Hold Onto Excess Belly Fat & Cover Up Your Six Pack Abs Like a Thick Blanket? 2. Did You Also Know That "Abs Exercises" Such as Crunches, Leg Raises, & Sit-Ups are Actually the LEAST EFFECTIVE Method of Getting Rid of Stubborn Stomach Fat & Love Handles to Uncover Your Abs? And No, the Answer to Belly Fat Loss is NOT Cardio Either! 3. Another Thing... You've Been Told That Doing Lots and Lots of Cardio is the Best Way to Lose Body Fat... Correct? 4. Do You Really Need "Fat Loss Pills" and Other Hyped-Up Supplements to Get Rid of Your Stubborn Belly Fat for Good? 5. Ab Belts, Ab-Gadgets, Ab-Rockers/Rollers... all Useless! Ok, three of the above noted points caught my attention. Numbers 1, 2, and 3 had me interested in finding out more. Take a look at points 1, 2, and 3 and think to yourself what you know about these points already. Anyways, I wanted to find out more. So, after thinking about it, I forked out $39 for the e-book. I received the e-book instantly with 6 other bonuses. I didnt really care all that much for the bonuses since most of these books you can find on the internet for free. However, there was one bonus that I thought was kinda cool and that was the turbulence training - I might look a little further into this kind of training. Anyways, the book is about 120 pages long. I was just hoping that it wasnt filled with re-hashed crap that you can find on the internet. So, I dove into the e-book looking for those 3 points that I was interested in. Now, before I go further, I buy a lot of e-books on the internet looking for information that I can personally apply. Even if there is one point out of the whole book that I can apply with results, I know the purchase was worth it. If I know the information is solid, Ill write about it. So, I looked over the e-book which took about an hour and a half. Now, Im not going to say that the book was a great read because it wasnt. In fact, I thought it was a little dry and I caught myself skipping some pages. However, like I said before, even if there is one point in the whole book that I know will be of benefit, it is worth the purchase of the e-book. In this case, I wanted to find out more about points 1, 2, and 3 because to me, they are probably the most important and something that could break some myths and help other weight trainers. Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the content of those three points. The reason? Firstly, I was glad to see that Mr. Geary put a lot of emphasis in the nutrition section. In todays world, there is simply too much confusion when it comes to nutrition and fat loss. With all of the fad diets, ab gizmos, and misinformation floating around, its easy to see why most folks get too discouraged with their programs and quit. As I said before, nutrition will account for 75% of your success at attaining a six pack abs. What I really liked about the nutrition section was A) The meal frequency and thermic effect of food section, B) Two hidden evils in our food supply, and C) Meal plans. I think one of the most misunderstood topics in fat loss is meal frequency. What should you eat and when do you eat are common questions I receive about fat loss and one that is discussed (to my liking here) in detail. One of the most important element in any fat loss plan is meal frequency and its effects on your body. Yes, meal frequency is that important. You see, meal frequency is the key to kick starting your bodies internal fat burning engine. The thermal effect of food is simply amazing and one that will blast your fat burning results into overdrive, overnight. By choosing the correct foods and meal times, you will train your bodies internal machine to basically burn the fat and build the muscle. Ive been training for about 20 odd years now, and if there is one thing that is consistent with my training and progress is the effect that quality nutrition has on my body. Every time I adjust my diet and nutrition, I can literally see and feel the results in a matter of days. If I go two days skipping a meal or two, I can see and feel it in my workouts. If I choose to have McDonalds for breakfast and dinner, that meal stays with me for a couple of days and I can actually feel the difference in my workouts! The power of food choice is awesome. By using the correct amount of meals and ingesting the proper nutrients, the results of any fat loss program will double overnight. This topic is so misunderstood that if more people really knew how to do this, there would be no need for fat burner pills or ab rollers and other useless gadgets. Ive come to the conclusion that nutrition is more than 60% to 70% of a persons success with building their bodies. If you are trying to get a six pack of abs, its more like 75%. Anyways, Im glad Mr. Geary goes into great detail about the nutritional section because its the most important. Also, Mr. Geary provides a full 7 day menu broken down into: Breakfast; Each meal is broken down by calories, protein, carbs, and fat. I enjoyed this section. Ok, lets get back to the first point: 1) Did You Know That There are Hidden Foods That are Promoted as "Health Foods" but Actually Stimulate Your Body to Hold Onto Excess Belly Fat & Cover Up Your Six Pack Abs Like a Thick Blanket? This is a great eye opener for those of you who really want to know what goes into your health food. An interesting section. On to the second point... I really enjoyed this section. Now, this point is something that 90% of the exercising population doesnt know. The ones who do know are often thought of as being crazy! Im a firm believer in this type of training and know first hand, the power this type of exercising has on the human body. The only problem is that mainstream advertising has basically brainwashed the exercising public into thinking they need to do these ab specific exercises. I am certain that if you can incorporate these types of exercises into your training, you can boost your gains by 40%, and therefore improving your fat burning efforts. Basically, when it comes to getting a six pack of abs, it boils down to the exercises you choose that will be the most effective at: Burning fat; Let me ask you a question. What makes your body more sore? A light workout with isolation exercises and plenty of light cardio or a heavy workout with compound only exercises and short intense, cardio sessions? Im guessing your body is going be a lot more sore doing a heavy workout with compound only exercises. Why is this important? First of all, by performing multi jointed exercises such as the squat, you are forcing your body to work harder. I mean, whats going to be harder, doing 2 sets 15 repetitions of light leg extensions or 5 sets 10 of heavy squats? It takes a huge amount of energy to do a multi jointed, compound movement workout. Compared to a light, isolation exercise type workout or cardio only workout, your body is: 1) Forced to expend a huge amount of effort and energy (calories burned) for that specific, multi jointed exercises oriented workout and; 2) Forced to keep spending energy (calories burned) on repairing the body after the workout is done, usually one to two days after. That is, your body is still using calories for energy, to repair your body even when your sleeping and doing nothing. This is the thermal effect of heavy, multi jointed exercises has on your body. You see, the real magic is the cycle of fat burning that goes on even when your not training. Once you start to employ this type of training, your body over time, will become a 24 hour fat burning, muscle building machine. I am very glad Mr. Geary goes into great detail here and provides over 10 workouts from the beginner to advanced using these methods. On to point 3... 3. Another Thing... You've Been Told That Doing Lots and Lots of Cardio is the Best Way to Lose Body Fat... Correct? This point ties into the previous statement. This statement is an eye opener and one that is worth buying this ebook. Forget about doing long, boring cardio sessions. Want to know what I really loved about this section? It was the cardio part. Everyone, and I mean everyone is under the assumption that long cardio sessions are needed in order to burn fat. Now, this method does work, but what if I was to tell you there is another method that will double your results by doing the same cardio exercise but with a different approach? What Mr. Geary is trying to say here is that its not the quantity of cardio thats important but the quality. Using these methods, you will cut your cardio time in half and improve your results by 50%. If you can use the methods in point 2 and combine them with this method (point 3), your fat burning results will almost double overnight. Yes, its that powerful. Im a firm believer and Ill tell you right now that this isnt easy. Your going to have to work hard using this method but the results will be well worth it. After reading the Truth About Six Pack Abs, I felt good. It reminded me that if I want to attain a sleek, and sexy mid section, Im going to have to re-think my training sessions and start to train hard again (not that I dont train hard!), but with compound only exercises. Im gonna tell you now that if you want to really burn the fat, and get those six pack of abs, drop the isolation exercises and start doing compound, full body workouts. Remember, the harder you train, the more fat your going to burn. Im going to recommend Mike Gearys book The Truth About Six Pack Abs because it provides information that will be much more conducive to improving your training efforts than most of the other books on fat burning out there. I think the asking price of $39 is worth it. |
