Gourmet Muscle Meal - Super Tasty Steak Sandwich

Everybody loves a steak sandwich. This recipe comes from my newphew, Joey who specializes in healthy gourmet meals. I asked him to come up with a muscle building steak sandwich and this is what he came up. It is absolutely fantastic. This steak sandwich is perfect after a super intense workout - Reward yourself with this power packed sandwich!

This steak sandwich is heavy duty! Has over 40 grams of power packed protein per serving!

Here's the recipe:

Steak sandwich

  • 6 oz piece of steak.
    Yellow and green peppers
    Red onion
    Mixed lettuce
    Baguette

Cut the peppers into chunks, slice the onion and place into hot BBQ. Cook the peppers until they have a little colour on each side. Do the same with the onions. Salt and pepper the steak. Cook to your liking. Allow streak to rest 5 minutes.

While steak is resting cut your baguette into sandwich size pieces. Cut in half length wise and toss on the grill until the are lightly toasted. Remove from grill.

Cut steak into strips. Assemble sandwich. Bun on the bottom, mixed lettuce, steak, grilled peppers and onions, and top bun.

Try having this sandwich with a glass of milk for a complete mass building meal!
