In terms of popularity, protein supplements top the list. Why are protein supplements so popular?

There is simply no arguing that protein supplements have been proven to work. Our bodies are made to absorb protein and to grow from it.

Protein is protein, so to say, and they have one major job to do (there are others) and that's to build lean tissue mass.

We all know protein works. The problem lies in the sheer volume of protein supplements on the marke today.

I remember when I had about 5 choices for protein powders (Back in the mid '80's). It wasn't a hard choice. However, there are literally hundreds of brands of protein powders on the market today and each seems to have the only answer for building strength and muscle.

When a person is first introduced to weight training, or fitness, they will usually ask about protein powders as their first supplement. It's only natural because this is the one supplement that is very crucial to strength training and proven to work, time and time again. I guess you can say that protein supplements are the first stepping stone for beginners to weight training and fitness.

However, protein powders is a multi million dollar industry and supplement companies each want a piece of this. There are constantly new formulas for protein "hybrid formulas" that not only contain protein but other ingredients. I think the wide choice of protein powders can benefit everybody because it forces supplement companies to manufacture quality protein powders. It's a matter of wadding throught the mud to find the jewels.

With that in mind, I want to provide you, the hard working weight trainer with protein supplement reviews from actual users. There is no substitute for actual reviews and they are quite honest. Simply click on the links below to view the user reviews for protein supplements.
