Now, Icon Fitness is a fitness products giant with such names as Nordic Track, Weider, Image, Healthrider, Reebok, and Weslo under their belt. Icon knows the market and it is reflective of the elliptical trainers that it produces. With this in mind, Icon Fitness can mass produce low budget elliptical trainers to a wide ranging audience. Is the proform elliptical trainer bad? First of all, let me say that any elliptical trainer under $1,000 is going to be cheap. I’m not going to lie to you and say that for $500 you can get an elliptical trainer that will outperform high end elliptical trainers such as a precor. However, Icon is the only company that can produce high end features on a budget elliptical trainer and make it look and sound like a high end elliptical machine.
