The Eclipse 1100 HR has a solid steel body frame which makes it a very sturdy elliptical machine. You want find any wobbles with this elliptical machine, even at the top resistance and all out workout intensities. This is really what sets this elliptical trainer apart from other elliptical machines under $1,000. No matter what resistance or speed you set it at, the Eclipse won’t wobble from side to side. It is a very tough and sturdy elliptical trainer. The Eclipse 1100 HR can support up to 275 pounds! Most of the Ellipticals I have seen in this price range would be lucky to support 225 pounds let alone 275 pounds. With 10 different programmes and 2 pulse controlled programmes, it makes for a very entertaining and interesting ride. The variable magnetic resistance system is quite reliable and allows the user to adjust from 10 different preset programs all at the touch of a button. This makes it ideal for every member of your family. I love the fact that you can program the 1100 HR to automatically adjust it's resistance. Elliptical stride 15" Diameter stride A pretty small stride but given the size of this elliptical, it fits. This elliptical is not made for larger individuals. At a price of $390.95, you’ll be hard pressed to find an elliptical trainer with the same durability and variety than the Eclipse 1100 HR. Dollar for dollar, this elliptical trainer is hard to beat. If you are on a tight budget and need to find an elliptical trainer that's tough enough to last with the necessary programs to keep you entertained, than the Eclipse 1100 HR is for you. All elliptical features have been reviewed and the conclusion is that this elliptical machine is just what the doctor ordered. If you don’t have money to burn, this is one elliptical trainer worth looking at. Special features The Eclipse 1100 HR uses a system called “Orbital Linkage System”. The OLS basically provides a full elliptical range without the drop off feeling while keeping the range “oval” as opposed to up and down. Given the frame size, most elliptical trainers in this price range tend to go up and down as opposed to an elliptical motion. There is also a reverse motion on the Eclipse 1100 HR. You have the option of going forward or going backward. Each works different muscle groups. The Eclipse 1100 HR also has caster wheels underneath the frame for easy transportation.
