I’m sure you’re well aware of who Muscle Tech is and what their flagship product is, cell tech.
Just take a look at any muscle magazine and you’ll see multi coloured ads with top ranked body builders endorsing their products.
Muscle Tech are the makers of Nitro Tech and Hydroxycut - Two of their best selling products.
I have to say, there is a lot of hype surrounding Muscle Tech’s flagship product - Cell Tech. This company pours millions into their advertising and spares no expense when it comes to top body builders endorsing their products.
Cell Tech is considered a second generation creatine product that’s designed to push as much creatine into your muscles using a delivery - transport system. Here’s how this process works:
The body rapidly absorbs simple carbohydrates such as dextrose for use as immediate fuel. That is, the body will absorb carbs with a high glycemic rating the quickest. If you don’t know what the glycemic index is, it basically describes how fast a food is converted to glucose in the blood. Foods listed on the index are rated from 0 to 100 - Glucose being 100.
So, the higher the food is listed on the index, the faster it converts to glucose. Now, when a simple carb like dextrose is ingested, it is absorbed into the blood stream immediately. This in turn, signals the body to release insulin which basically acts as a transport system, forcing as much fuel, or sugars into the muscle cells. Creatine basically “piggy backs” on the dextrose and catches a ride into the muscle cells.
When creatine is taken alone, without any carbs, it misses out on this process. Therefore, creatine absorption is greatly increased when it is taken with a simple carb like dextrose and it works like a charm. The result, your muscle have more energy for immediate use (stronger muscle).
I originally tried this product because it had a lemon lime flavour (which I like). The results were very positive and I was more than satisfied with the outcome. Over the years, Cell Tech has also been one of my favourites because the product works. However, with the new advancements in creatine products, I feel you are probably better off using a product such as Dymatize’s Xpand or San V12 Turbo. It might cost you a few extra dollars, but the pay off in new strength will be worth the extra money you spend.
I give Muscle Tech’s Cell Tech a 7 out of 10.
