One Readers Review Of Building Muscle 101

Blake,

About 7 months ago I saw an ad for gym equipment for sale.

A Body Solid bench with a squat rack, 2 olympic bars and 600 pounds of weights. The guy was giving it away, real cheap. I looked at it and bought it on the spot.

Having some of my own equipment already in my home gym, this was a nice addition to have, especially at the price.

Owning my own construction business for 20 years now , I had seen what the business does to one's body if they didn't stay in shape. I have friends that have knee's replaced, others have hip replacements already but I just managed to keep working out 2 to 3 days a week to keep myself in somewhat decent shape. With my work it's difficult to come home and work out after you have been installing drywall on a ceiling all day, or pouring concrete for a patio, so I work out early, before I go to work.

Anyway, when I purchased the extra equipment, I promised myself to maintain a constant exercise program. That's when I came across your website, searching for someone who does this on a more professional basis and knows more about strength training then my "old school " way of lifting weights.

For the past 6 months I have followed your instructions and now look forward to working out. I have seen the results from your methods. I feel a heck of a lot better that I did. I have been able to almost double the amount of weight that I use in some of my exercises and for being over 50, I am up to doing 300lb squats now and I enjoy them. Ok, it's only 3 sets of 10 combined with 3 sets of leg extensions, 3 sets of leg curls and 3 sets of calf raises, each at 10 reps, but my legs don't get tired at work now !

I never would have gone this far if it wasn't for your e-mails every now and then. It acts as a reminder to me to keep on training. To try and improve myself even more. I enjoy them and want to say thanks for sending them to me. Any advice that you may have please send it as I look forward to doing 400lb squats in the future.

Thanks for your help,

B.J.
